GIORGIO MARINI 
Festival Coordinator

Giorgio Marini, a native of Italy, comes from a family rich in music as all of them play instruments or sing. His father actually only met his mother because he started playing guitar in her brother’s band! Giorgio began playing the clarinet at the age of 6, and the saxophone at age 16, the latter of which he continues to play this day with various bands at local weddings and other venues. During his early years, he also sang with the "Coro Polifonico Santa Maria in Val D'Abisso" with which he performed in Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Hungary, Switzerland, Austria, and Poland. Giorgio continued his love of music during his time at the University of Perugia where he sang in the University Choir. He earned a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Perugia in 2006.

In addition to his love of music, Giorgio takes great pride in organizing events and music festivals. He was the logistics manager and coordinator for the "Premio Nazionale Bruno Lauzi" this past year which consisted of 15 live shows with approximately 10 different singers every show.  He currently helps to organize "InRock Music Festival" which is a rock music festival held in Piobbico that attracts approximately 4,000 attendees annually.

As the festival coordinator of the Brancaleoni International Music Festival, Giorgio has worked many long hours behind the scenes as a liaison between Dr. De Cock and local vendors, hotel and apartment owners, and facility and  community representatives in Piobbico and throughout the region. Giorgio looks forward to having you as a guest in his hometown of Piobbico, and extends his warmest welcome to you.
