The summer of 2023 will mark the fifth exciting year for the string and chamber music studies program at the Brancaleoni International Music Festival. The string faculty will select and combine highly qualified applicants into ensembles that will include piano trios and piano, and strings mixed chamber groups. Assignments will be contingent on instrumentation ratios within the student body.
In addition to chamber music, string students at the BIMF will participate in the Duo Sonata Program. The festival invites applications from both preformed groups and individual students. Festival participants have the opportunity to observe and participate in master classes taught by members of the string and piano artist-faculty and every student will also have the chance to perform in at least one of the festival recitals. Faculty recitals, presentations, and workshops provide further opportunities to enjoy the immersive artistic learning environment at the BIMF. Repertoire assignments will be announced at least three months prior to the festival start date. At least one day trip to a city in Italy is also included in the cost of tuition. For more information, visit the Information page. IMPORTANT DATES The final application deadline is March 1, 2023, now extended to April 1, 2023. The festival will run from July 23 - August 6, 2023 with July 23 being the arrival date and August 6 the departure date. HOW TO APPLY Click here to apply to the 2023 BIMF Strings Studies Program
