Piano students at the Brancaleoni International Music Festival study with internationally renowned artist-faculty members. In addition to private lessons, students have the opportunity to observe and participate in master classes taught by members of the piano artist-faculty. Every student will also have the chance to perform in at least one of the festival recitals. A minimum of three hours of daily practice will be made available to every student, and additional time may be available on a first come, first serve basis. Faculty recitals, presentations, and workshops provide further opportunities to enjoy the immersive artistic learning environment at the BIMF.
Selected piano students will be able to participate in the Chamber Music and Duo Sonata program through collaboration with students in the BIMF String Program. Rehearsals and coachings with the artist-faculty will culminate in a chamber performance in one of the chamber music series concerts. Repertoire assignments will be announced three months prior to the festival start date. All students must submit an audition recording before the application deadline in order to be considered for chamber music placement. The festival will run from July 23 - August 6, 2023 with July 23 being the arrival date and August 6 the departure date. STEINWAY SERIES BRANCALEONI GUEST ARTIST AWARD One piano student will be selected to receive this prestigious award, which comprises a guest artist recital as part of the 2023-2024 season of the Steinway Series in Tampa, Fl (http://music.arts.usf.edu/steinwayseries/). AUDITION REPERTOIRE Recent video or audio recordings that comprise 2 contrasting works representative of the student's current level and ability. Recordings have to be available for viewing on an online streaming website, such as YouTube. If a student is unable to upload their recordings, please email the festival directly for instructions on how to submit your files. Students of the 2023 Artist-Faculty can have the audition recording requirement waived by their teacher. In order to be placed in a chamber ensemble, an audition recording must be submitted, regardless of teacher. ENROLLMENT FEES |

Includes lessons, masterclasses, concerts, practice facilities, presentations, chamber coachings for selected students, transportation from and to the Bologna airport, concert venues, and day trips. Full tuition payment is due by May 1st, 2023.
Two week stay in fully equipped student apartments (kitchen and washing machine available). To be paid during the first week of the festival. Deposits are accepted on a rolling basis. Students are encouraged to submit the deposit within one week of admission notification. Accepted deposits or full tuition payments formally guarantee student participation in the festival. The deposit amount will be credited towards tuition. |
